A recent Customer called our call centre for a Quote to fit a new Clutch on his Ford Focus. He said he was having problems with a local garage in the area that had fitted inferior low quality parts after quoting him to fit a Leading brand 3 part clutch kit. The vehicle had been in the garage for a few days with excuses made that the work was taking longer than expected. On getting the vehicle back the clutch started Juddering and clear sign that it was not the correct parts for the vehicle of they where reconditioned parts to save the garage money.
This is always false economy, as comebacks and unhappy customer will follow. We booked the vehicle into our clutch centre and refitted a LUK clutch kit. We also found out the customer was charged almost double what we quoted him by the other garage.
